Work looks set to begin on enterprise park

WORK to create a new enterprise park beside a Herefordshire town is now imminent - more than 20 years after the site was first acquired for the county.

Tenders will go out this month to start work at the ten-hectare Model Farm site off the A40 southeast of Ross-on-Wye, which has long been earmarked for employment land to accompany the area's growing population.

The project has been delayed while a deal was struck with National Highways which manages the A40 trunk road, Herefordshire Council's cabinet member for finance Pete Stoddart told colleagues.
