TRIBUTES have been paid to a dad of three who died after a bin lorry crashed into a building in Herefordshire.

- ADAM DUTTON

Andzie Stanik, known as Stan, was killed when the council vehicle lost control and ploughed into the property in Leominster on Tuesday.

His “utterly heartbroken” family said in a statement he had worked as a binman for 25 years and they were “struggling to comprehend” how he was “cruelly” taken away.

Andzie, 62, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash which occurred during the morning rounds at around 6.40am. Two other people were left seriously injured and required hospital treatment.
