New drone factory to create 100 jobs in town

MORE than 100 jobs are to be created at a new manufacturing facility as part of the UK increasing its domestic manufacturing of drones.

‘The Stark factory in Swindon, Wiltshire, will hire people in fields including software, electronics and aerospace engineering in its first year.

It will be operational by 2026 and is due to begin manufacturing a range of Al-enabled uncrewed systems in the coming months, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) said.
