Amber alert as more rain heads to Wales

Wales on Sunday

|

November 30, 2025

A WEATHER warning for heavy rain covering the whole of South Wales has been ramped up from yellow to amber - the second highest level of warning - meaning flooding across the region is “probable” which could cause a “danger to life”.

The Met Office initially issued two yellow warnings for rain, one for yesterday and one for tomorrow.

The former was cancelled yesterday morning as the worst of the heavy rain hit late on Friday night. However, tomorrow's warning has been upscaled to an amber level.

It will come into force from midnight and remain in place until 11pm.
