Vietnam central to supply chains and digital growth
Vietnam Investment Review
|April 13, 2026
Foreign companies remain upbeat about business prospects in Vietnam by stepping up investment and expansion plans.
In late March, human resource and finance platform Workday announced a strategic expansion of operations into Vietnam. Following its acquisition of Paradox, Workday now has a presence of nearly 300 professionals across its Ho Chi Minh City and Danang offices.
This expansion is supported by five global and regional partners with a view to catering to the rising local demand for digital transformation. Through this partner ecosystem, Workday will enable the local support and expertise needed to help Vietnamese organisations scale and unlock the full potential of enterprise AI.
Jess O'Reilly, general manager for ASEAN at Workday, told VIR that Vietnam is increasingly central to global supply chains and digital growth, and it stands out as one of the region's most dynamic markets.
"The combination of strong economic momentum, a young and ambitious workforce, and rising digital ambition makes it a compelling destination for long-term investment," O'Reilly said. "Across the region, the enterprises we work with are prioritising long-term competitiveness and AI transformation at scale. Vietnam is perfectly aligned with this trend, demonstrating a clear commitment to building a reliable, business-friendly environment for foreign investors."
