‘Might have dumped some body parts on way to work in Gurgaon’

A Delhi police team travelled to Gurgaon on Friday to record statements from the employers and colleagues of Aaftab Poonawala, who strangled his partner and chopped her body for disposal before being arrested six months after the crime.

The visit followed the accused telling the investigators during interrogation that he might have disposed of some parts of Shraddha Walkar’s body on the way to work at a private IT company in Gurgaon.
An extensive search was conducted in the forested areas at Gurgaon’s DLF Phase II, close to Aaftab’s former office. Cops have recovered a few pieces that they believe are evidence of the killing.
