Kirori Lal Meena Has No Option But To Go Silent
The Sunday Guardian
|February 16, 2025
Senior BJP leader and Rajasthan cabinet minister Kirori Lal Meena has found himself entangled in the wrong battle this time.
While he has managed to satisfy the BJP leadership with his response to the notice, which may allow him to retain his position for now, there is no guarantee of long-term security.
In his reply, Kirori presented himself as a loyal party soldier and provided a detailed explanation. For now, the leadership has merely tested him by having state president Madan Rathore issue the notice. Since the matter has not yet reached the party's disciplinary committee, it is seen as a warning for Kirori to exercise restraint. Rathore had issued a show cause notice to Kirori, as the latter had alleged that his phone had been tapped by the BJP government in Rajasthan.
