With traffic restrictions in place on NH-10 (Sevoke to Rangpo) due to emergency repair work, Darjeeling MP Raju Bista visited the site on Saturday evening to review the ongoing reconstruction efforts by the National Highway Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL).
He was accompanied by senior officials from the NHIDCL during the inspection.
Mr. Bista commended the progress, noting that the NHIDCL's technical expertise is evident in addressing the vulnerabilities of this landslide-prone highway. "This work is crucial for ensuring safer and more reliable connectivity for the people of Kalimpong, Darjeeling, Dooars, and Sikkim," he said in his first public statement following the visit.
