Heat wave: Govt shuts schools, anganwadi centres & colleges

With no letup in severe heat and humid weather in the State for the last one week, the state government declared summer vacation for schools and anganwadi centres from Wednesday.
In view of the current intense heat wave in the state, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi issued the orders after reviewing the situation. It is worth noting that normal life is being hampered due to severe heat wave and excessive increase in daytime temperatures in the state.
During this period, instructions have also been given to provide dry food to Anganwadi children at their homes.
