Dynamos show their form to take points in Leek clash

CANNOCK Dynamos ran out 3-0 winners in their Premier Division clash against Leek CSOB.

- Chris Travers

Marquez Green hit the only goal of the first half on 44 minutes but in a busier second period, Ben Allen netted their second on 53 minutes with a third arriving on 69 minutes courtesy of Lewis Keeling.

The victory moved Dynamos up to seventh in the current standings.

Relegation-threatened AFC Alsager hosted high-flying Rocester and put on a performance demonstrating they are prepared to fight to retain their Premier Division status.

They had the better of a goalless first half, playing with plenty of confidence. Maybe there were harsh words at half time because Rocester started the second half much quicker and took the lead within four minutes of the restart through former Redgate Clayton man Gino Orlando.

But the South Cheshire hosts weathered that opening period and levelled on 59 minutes through a Tyler Christie goal.

Both teams pushed for the advantage, and it was AFC Alsager who took the lead with a Charlie Padania finish in the 75th minute.

However, Rocester managed to find an equaliser after 82 minutes when inform wide man Jake Walklett found the back of the net.

It was Rocester who looked the more likely to pinch a winner and Alsager were indebted to their young debutant keeper, who made a smart save in the dying minutes to keep the score level.
