Action is hotting up as the 2025 Sentinel golf events are in full swing

DEFENDING Sentinel Cup champion Andrew Lipscomb overcame a tricky first round tie to advance to the next stage.

The Wolstanton golfer was paired against Astbury's Jordan Bowcock and it went down to the wire before he emerged victorious 2&1 against his opponent from Congleton.

He is joined in the next stage by previous winners Russ Cartlidge, of Greenway Hall, who won 7&5 against Christopher Robson in round one, and James Vernon of Westwood.
