YSABEL ORTEGA, JON LUCAS ON LOVE TEAMS IN A MORE ACCEPTING SHOWBIZ ERA

Unlike before, when showbiz fanatics frowned on their idols having partners outside of loveteams, fans today are more accepting of onscreen pairings.

Take the case of Sparkle artists Ysabel Ortega and Jon Lucas, whose characters Daron and Armea in the recently concluded GMA fantasy series “Encantadia Chronicles: Sang’gre” gave birth to an unexpected loveteam.

The loveteam DarMea was never planned. The viewers found perfect chemistry between Jon and Ysabel — never mind if the former is happily married to former “It’s Showtime” dancer Shy Feras and have three kids, while the latter is in a romantic relationship with Miguel Tanfelix.

Jon, who is already used to portraying villain characters, never thought about becoming the other half of a loveteam.
