“These offences may occur due to either collusion or negligence on the part of bank officials. This necessitates prompt action by the RBI and banks,” observed the three-judge bench of the apex court, headed by the Chief Justice of India Surya Kant and Justices Joymalya Bagchi and N V Anjaria.
