A massive corruption scam has rocked the Kadapa Municipal Corporation (KMC), with staff accused of illegally collecting nearly ₹8 crore in garbage tax from commercial units, despite the State government scrapping the levy last year.
Between July 2024 and June 2025, staff allegedly collected tax from hotels, hospitals, and apartments using fake receipts.
