New sewage projects aim to curb untreated waste along the Visakhapatnam's coast
BEACHES in Visakhapatnam often witness untreated sewage flowing directly into the sea through several drains, leaving the coastlines foul-smelling and posing risks to marine life. To address this long-pending issue, the Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) is stepping up efforts to expand its sewage treatment capacity and prevent untreated water from being discharged into the sea.
