Collector releases ₹4,215 cr credit plan to boost Manyam's development

DISTRICT Collector A Shyam Prasad on Monday released the ₹4,215.30 crore Potential Linked Credit Plan (PLP) 2025-26 for Parvathipuram-Manyam District during a District Industrial Promotion Committee meeting at the Collectorate.
NABARD prepared the plan to enhance credit flow to priority sectors and promote inclusive rural development.
The PLP focuses on bridging infrastructure gaps and encouraging climate-resilient agriculture. The agri-based district has two-thirds of its workforce in farming, with 79% being marginal farmers. Major crops include paddy (0.75 lakh ha), maize (0.11 lakh ha) and cotton (0.10 lakh ha).
