Revanth May Expand T'gana Cabinet Next Week
The New Indian Express Vellore
|June 08, 2025
THE political climate in Telangana is heating up amid strong speculation that Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy may finally go ahead with the long-delayed Cabinet expansion, possibly as early as Sunday or within the coming week.
The arrival of Governor Jishnu Dev Varma in Hyderabad this weekend has further fueled the buzz, with Congress sources indicating that the party high command has given the green light to induct new ministers and fill up to six vacant berths in the state Cabinet.
While there is no official word yet from the chief minister's office or the Raj Bhavan, intense lobbying has resumed among aspirants, especially after a delegation of Congress MLAs from the SC-Madiga community met Revanth Reddy on Saturday evening, pressing for community representation in the expansion.
