WITH Holi falling on a Friday during the holy month of Ramzan, Uttar Pradesh was draped in a security blanket even as prominent Muslim clerics postponed Friday prayers until after 2 pm and covered 189 mosques in at least four districts with tarpaulin ahead of the festival of colours.

While Muslim clerics changed the Friday prayer time in 18 districts tomorrow, around 189 mosques in Bareilly, Sambhal, Shahjahanpur and Aligarh districts in central-western UP were covered with tarpaulin to save them from the splash of colours.
