DEMANDING the restoration of the Old Pension Scheme (OPS), the employees of the state secretariat, who are members of the Tamil Nadu Secretariat Association (TANSA), wore black badges on Friday to protest against the formation of a committee for studying the Unified Pension Scheme (UPS).
TANSA president G Venkatesan urged the government to dissolve the committee for UPS and immediately restore the OPS as per the electoral promise of the DMK. "If the government fails to do this, the association will carry out further protests," he said.
