Maiyan aid for 112 women diverted to Ranchi man's account, case filed

IN another controversy surrounding the Jharkhand government's Maiyan Samman Yojana, the financial assistance intended for 112 women were allegedly diverted to the bank account of a man in Tamar of Ranchi. Police has filed an FIR in this regard against Kartik Patar, and money recovery is under way, officials said.

Notably, a lot of irregularities came to light during the physical verification of the beneficiaries across the state are following reports that computer operators have committed huge fraud while filling out the forms for the scheme.
