@ Net profit rises to 13,718 crore as there were no exceptional costs @ Top performers to get double-digit pay hike at Tata Consultancy Services

- PADMINI DHRUVARAJ @ Bengaluru

IT major Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) on Thursday reported a 12% year-on-year rise in consolidated net profit for the March quarter, driven by steady revenue growth, strong deal wins and higher contribution from AI-led services.

The company posted a net profit of ₹13,718 crore as against ₹12,224 crore in the same period last year. The bottomline rose 5% sequentially.

Revenue from operations for the January-March quarter came in at ₹70,698 crore, a 10% rise from ₹64,479 crore a year ago, while the revenue rose 5.4% quarter-on-quarter.

The sharp sequential rise in profit during the Q4 also came due to the absence of exceptional costs that had affected the December quarter. In the previous quarter, TCS had reported charges related to restructuring, statutory impact of new labour codes and provisions towards a legal claim.

For the full financial year ended March 31, 2026, TCS reported a consolidated net profit of ₹52,820 crore, up nearly 9% as against the previous year. Revenue for FY26 rose 4.6% YoY to ₹267,021 crore from ₹255,324 crore.
