A KEY MEETING of the KTU finance committee, called by the vice-chancellor to approve the draft budget, on Wednesday failed to take off due to lack of quorum after members of the board of governors and senior officials of the higher education and finance departments stayed away, allegedly at the directions of the state government.
The 14-member committee needed five members to constitute a quorum.
