'If we submit DPRs for more tourism projects, we can secure greater Central support'
MINISTER for Tourism Kandula Durgesh on Tuesday directed officials to target ₹25,000 crore in tourism investments and create 50,000 rooms across Andhra Pradesh as part of the State's tourism development push.
Chairing a review meeting at his residence in Velagapudi Secretariat, he stressed the need for strategic planning, wide publicity, and inter-departmental coordination to elevate the State's tourism profile. He instructed officials to organise roadshows in metro cities including Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Mumbai, and Kolkata to attract investors and tourists.
