THE "relentless honking" of high-decibel air horns by private buses and cargo vehicles across Tiruchy city is causing distress to motorists and even lead to accidents.

Many motorists complain that unnecessary honking not only disrupts concentration but also triggers panic, particularly among elderly riders and new drivers.

Many riders, especially two-wheeler users, said the sudden blare of a horn startles them so much that they even lose balance and fall.
