AFTER a lukewarm response from the first three iterations of the Indian Open Athletics meeting, this edition, conducted by the Tamil Nadu Athletics Association (TNAA) saw a sizeable turnout of more than 400 athletes, organisers stated.

The Athletics Federation of India has made it mandatory to compete in any of its events to qualify for the Senior National Athletics Federation Competition next week. And this was the last AFI competition.
