Why mum on migrant issue, Lad asks Modi
The New Indian Express Mysuru
|February 11, 2025
TAKING serious exceptions for the silence of the Union Government over the alleged insulting of Indians by the United States of America which sent back home over 18 thousand Indian migrants recently, minister for Labour Santosh Lad said that the Centre could have condemned the incident or taken immediate steps in the interest of Indian migrants.
Addressing the press conference here on Monday he said that unfortunately the Prime Minister Narendra Modi who often lauding his administration alone is yet to consider the deportation of Indians issue seriously. Taking a dig at Modi, Lad also asked the Prime Minister to debate with Rahul Gandhi leader of Opposition in this regard.
The people who appreciating Modi should start questioning BJP and its top leaders about their contribution for the development of nation, he said.
