Woman wants SIT to reinvestigate sister's death in Dharmasthala in '86
The Special Investigation Team (SIT), investigating the Dharmasthala mass burial case, will search for any possible human remains at the alleged burial Site No. 13 by deploying Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR).
The SIT conducted a demo of the drone-based GPR at Site No. 13 on Monday and the search for any human remains will be conducted on Tuesday in the presence of SIT chief DGP Pronab Mohanty.
So far, SIT has dug up 15 sites shown by the whistleblower in the case and found human remains in only Site No. 6, while a skull and other human skeletal remains were found on the surface, a site close to Site 11, which is now marked as Site 14.
There was a delay in manual digging or the exhumation process at Site 13 due to technical issues, including the presence of a dam, multiple electricity lines, and the proximity of the spot to the main road.
