THE India AI Impact Summit 2026 has brought together AI experts, heads of states, ministers, global technology leaders, eminent researchers, representatives of multilateral institutions, and industry stakeholders in New Delhi to deliberate on the role of AI in advancing inclusive growth.
On the sidelines of the summit, which is expected to attract more than 2.5 lakh visitors, Rakesh Kumar spoke to S Krishnan, secretary, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY). During the interaction, he emphasised that the core purpose of the event is to democratise AI and make it accessible to all sections of the society, while noting that the summit is not primarily focused on investments.
