Coffee branding initiative to be taken up by KGF

"THE Karnataka Growers' Federation (KGF) has held discussions with the Chief Minister and the Chief Secretary about branding Karnataka coffee on the Nandini model in the dairy sector," said H Shivanna, the president of the Karnataka Growers' Federation.
He was speaking at a meeting hosted by KGF and Somwarpet Taluk Growers' Association at Somwarpet. He opined that if Karnataka coffee is identified as a separate brand, it will create a new sensation in the market.
"Discussions have been held with the Chief Minister and the Chief Secretary in this regard and it is expected to be finalised soon," he added. He, meanwhile, confirmed that the KGF is making continuous efforts to solve the many problems faced by coffee growers at the government level.
