Crores unspent in Gujarat social justice dept

A Gujarat Assembly reply toa question asked by an opposition MLA has revealed vast spending gaps across various boards and corporations of the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment.
A Congress MLA asked the question about allocations, to which minister Manisha Vakil responded that showed uneven allocations and expenditure and unspent balances.
The minister’s written reply about allocations and expenditure for 2024 and 2025 in 10 key bodies showed that while funds were sanctioned in significant amounts, utilisation remained inconsistent, thereby indicating implementation gaps of flagship social schemes of the government on the ground.
