Rain triggers landslip threat in Munnar

WITH the threat of landslips looming over Munnar due to incessant rainfall, authorities have urged residents and travellers to remain on high alert.
On Sunday night, another mudslip occurred near the RO Junction at Munnar, damaging a roadside shop owned by a Periyavara resident. No casualties were reported as the shop was remaining closed at the time. Sub-collector V M Arya visited the site and directed closure of nearby shops as part of precautionary measures.
