Taking part in the meeting of the 10th Governing Council of the Niti Aayog on Saturday, chief ministers of Punjab and Himachal Pradesh raised the water issue.

TAKING part in the meeting of the 10th Governing Council of the Niti Aayog on Saturday, chief ministers of Punjab and Himachal Pradesh raised the water issue.

Mann flagged that the state has no surplus water for any state and raised the issue of deployment of CISF at the Bhakra Nangal Dam. He alleged that Punjab is getting a stepmotherly treatment from the Centre. Sukhu pleaded for state's rights in hydro power projects, and raised the issue of free royalty and handing over the projects which had completed 40 years.
