THE MUCH-ANTICIPATED specialty hospital in Mattannur, launched with great promise, has remained stalled for over a year after the contracting company abandoned the project due to a financial crisis.

The hospital's foundation stone was laid in October 2019 by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. With an estimated cost of Rs 71.5 crore, the hospital is being developed with modern infrastructure under the Kerala Infrastructure Investment Fund Board (KIIFB).
