The vehicles are taking a detour via the State Highway 57 which is riddled with potholes
NATIONAL HIGHWAY 66, which connects Kasaragod with the rest of the state and Karnataka, remains crippled at Bevinje Hill between Cherkala and Chattanchal Ghat section after a landslide lashed the area last Tuesday. The district administration has restricted traffic in the section, except for emergency vehicles, while the State Highway 57 between Kasaragod and Kanhangad is being used by the vehicles, including the heavy vehicles like LPG tankers. The 28-km-long state highway connects NH66 at both ends in the Kanhangad and Kasaragod towns.
