Opposition Gives In-Principle Nod to Impeach Justice Varma, Says Government

Report meant for future course of action: Minister
SIGNALING the Centre's intent to move ahead with the impeachment motion of Allahabad High Court judge Yashwant Varma, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju on Thursday said that main opposition parties have given their in-principle approval to support the motion in the Monsoon session scheduled for July 21 to August 21. The minister said the process of collecting signatures could begin soon.
He said the government is yet to decide whether the motion would be brought in the Lok Sabha or Rajya Sabha.
