INSPECTOR of Thirumayam police station Gunasekaran was suspended by Tiruchy DIG V Varun Kumar on Sunday for the "lack of swift action" over the recent alleged murder of anti-mining activist Jagabar Ali.
Ali, 58, died after a truck ran over him at Vengalur on January 17. The investigation into the case was transferred to the CB-CID amid allegations that it was a planned murder by the mining mafia. It was also alleged that the local police delaye
