UTTARAKHAND is experiencing an unprecedented temperature drop, shattering a decade-long heat record, driven by a robust pre-monsoon rainfall pattern.
The phenomenon is attributed to the intensified flow of moisture generated by winds originating from the Bay of Bengal.
The State Meteorological Centre, which has been closely monitoring this unusual weather behaviour, attributes the historic temperature decline to significant rainfall received between March and May.
This was largely due to the combined influence of Western Disturbances and abundant moisture, leading to comparatively good precipitation during the pre-monsoon period.
