PLI Scheme Attracts ₹1.76 Lakh Cr Worth Investment, Generates 12 Lakh Jobs: Govt

The production-linked incentive (PLI) scheme has attracted investments worth ₹1.76 lakh crore, generating production/sales of over ₹16.5 lakh crore and employment of over 12 lakh (direct & indirect) till March 2025, the government said on Wednesday.
A total of ₹21,534 crore has been disbursed so far under the scheme. The government has allocated ₹1.96 lakh crore under the scheme. Though the PLI scheme is applicable for 14 sectors, the disbursements have been made in 12 sectors -- large-scale electronics manufacturing (LSEM), IT hardware, bulk drugs, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, telecom & networking prod
