Baba Siddique's murder mastermind detained in Canada, to be extradited

THE man suspected to have masterminded the killing of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader and former minister Baba Siddique — Zeeshan Akhtar — has been detained by the Surrey police in Canada, say Mumbai Police sources.
A source in the Mumbai Police who is privy to the matter has revealed, "We were informed about Zeeshan Akhtar's detention three days ago, but we were waiting for an official confirmation, which we have now received. He is currently in the custody of the Surrey police." The necessary formalities are under way, and the accused will be extradited to Mumbai, where he will be standing trial.
