A serious situation unfolded, after the dam of the dangerous Kalakata Nallah burst due to ongoing heavy rain in Kangrali Khurd of Belagavi taluk on Tuesday evening.

The incident left around 250 to 300 farmers stranded on the far side of the Nallah, where they had gone to work on their fields.
