YOUNG spinner Priya Mishra starred with three key wickets as Gujarat Giants beat UP Warriorz by six wickets in the Women's Premier League match here on Sunday.
Opting to bowl, Gujarat's attack was on the money from the start as Mishra returned impressive figures of 4-0-25-3, while skipper Ashleigh Gardner (2/39), Deandra Dottin (2/34), and Kashvee Gautam (1/15) all played key roles in restricting Warriorz to 143. Giants, in their chase, lost two quick wickets but Gardner used all her experience to hit a half-century — 52 off 32 balls — and steady the ship in the process.
