Have learnt to make optimum use of powerplay: Sai Sudharsan

Ever since he gave a good account of himself in the last IPL final by making 96, expectations are high on this budding youngster. Gujarat, who were the runners-up in the last edition, are gearing up for the new season under their new captain Shubman Gill. Gill will be leading this edition as the change was inevitable due to Hardik Pandya moving to Mumbai Indians.

Nevertheless, Gujarat are a strong fighting unit and are still one the teams that can challenge some of the strong sides like Mumbai, Chennai and Hyderabad.

"We have prepared well in the camp and are keen to do well against Mumbai. We have trained as a unit keeping in mind the format and all of us got an opportunity to meet and gel as a unit," Sai Sudharsan told this daily.

Apart from the pre-season IPL training, Sudharsan had a good training stint with the Tamil Nadu team during the Ranji Trophy semifinals.
