Cong moves EC on PM's Muslim League remarks

AS the political showdown escalates over PM Modi's allegations regarding the Muslim League's influence on the Congress manifesto, the party approached the Election Commission on Monday and submitted a complaint against such remarks, which violate the model code of conduct.
A delegation of Congress leaders, including Pawan Khera, Mukul Wasnik, Salman Khurshid, and Gurdeep Sappal, met with EC officials and raised several issues, including the public service broadcaster Doordarshan airing The Kerala Story, pointing out that it is "a work of fiction that vilifies a religious community." During his election campaign, Prime Minister Modi attacked the Congress, stating that its manifesto for the upcoming general election smacks of the "politics of appeasement" and carries the imprint of the Muslim Leag
