Additional charge for RAW chief Parag Jain in cabinet secretariat

AT a time when the government and the agencies are grappling with Delhi car blast, the government on Wednesday issued an order giving additional charge of the Secretary (Security) in the Cabinet Secretariat to 1989-batch Indian Police Service (IPS) officer of Punjab cadre Parag Jain, who is currently holding the post of Secretary, Research & Analysis Wing (R&AW).

In the order issued by the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT) it is said, “The Competent Authority has approved assignment of additional charge of the post of Secretary (Security), Cabinet Secretariat to Shri Parag Jain, IPS (PB:89), Secretary, Research & Analysis Wing (R&AW) under Cabinet Secretariat with immediate effect and till the appointment of aregular incumbent or until further orders, whichever is earlier.”
