Hiring activity in London fell again last month as economic uncertainty, new labour laws and the prospect of higher National Insurance bills weighed on employers.

Hiring rates in the capital fall again but the worst could be over
The latest UK Report on Jobs from KPMG and REC showed downturns in February in both the permanent and temporary hiring sectors. The rate of decline has been at its steepest since the financial crisis, excluding the pandemic, although there are some signs it may be bottoming out. The report is compiled by S&P Global.
