NEWCASTLE United chairman Yasir Al-Rumayyan has arrived at St James' Park and sanctioned transfer moves as the Magpies look to finish the window on a high with just one week to conclude their business.

The Toon supremo's attendance at yesterday evening's game against Liverpool has coincided with high level meetings at St James' Park, and from those meetings an offer of £50m has been tabled for Wolverhampton Wanderers player Jorgen Strand Larsen, pictured below. That offer has been rejected by Wolves but The Journal understands that discussions with the club are ongoing.
