Road safety worker caught speeding on A1

A TRAFFIC management worker employed to help keep the roads safe was caught speeding at up to 120mph while over the limit for cannabis.
Yousef Majid put lives at risk while behind the wheel of a luxury high powered Mercedes on the Al, Newcastle Crown Court heard.
It was on June 21 last year just after 11pm that a police officer in a marked car joined the Al northbound at Washington.
She noticed the Mercedes ahead of her move directly from the slip road to the fourth lane and it was driving at speed.
