Pub granted extension to hours despite objections

A recently-reopened Tynemouth pub has been given the green light to extend its opening hours.
-
The Gibraltar Rock can now serve booze until lam on Fridays and Saturdays, with outside drinking allowed until 9pm.
‘The opening hours have also been amended to allow for 30 minutes of drinking up time. This comes despite two objections to the plans around potential public nuisance.
Following a licensing committee meeting at North Tyneside Council, the famous pub's new opening hours are as follows:
