The Journal
|March 04, 2026
REGIS Le Bris has described Dan Ballard's contract extension as “wonderful news”.
The Sunderland head coach is delighted to see the centre-back commit his future to the club until the summer of 2029.
Ballard, 26, also picked up the North East Football Writers' Association Player of the Year award at the weekend and Le Bris was beaming when asked about it.
"For Dan, obviously it’s the first time I'm seeing you since the news of his new contract breaking," Le Bris said.
