A TYNESIDE healthtech firm that uses a 'lego brick' style approach to creating access to digital health services is one of only a handful of companies in the world to be selected for a top Google accelerator programme.

Google academy gives healthtech firm 'lift off'

Daiser, which has its roots in the UK and US and is Whitley Bay-registered, offers developers of digital health services the chance to plug their concepts into a platform on iOS, android and web.

Experienced in building digital health services, its team has set out to make the process simpler, cheaper and accessible to more people.

Now the firm is one of only three from the UK - and 25 globally - to earn a spot on Google's Growth Academy: AI for Health start-up accelerator programme.

Co-founders Mike Trenell and US tech innovator Adam Wootton will join others from 16 countries for the accelerator programme in Poland.
